St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Parish

The Lady Saints participate in the Harrisburg CYO Varsity Girls Basketball League, under the auspices of the Dioceses of Harrisburg, during the regular CYO season. In the off season, we conduct skill training sessions, open gyms, and participate in summer league games under the auspices of the St. Theresa Parish Athletic Association. We're proud to represent our school and our parish.

UPDATES:

Lady Saints Finish on a High Note; Win 38 - 33 Over Sacred Heart Down 10 - 0 less than two minutes into today's 3rd place Dio game, things did not look good for St. Theresa. Sacred Heart hit their first four shots, including two treys and were poised to blow this game wide-open. The Lady Saints managed a couple scores but were still down 15 - 6 at the end of the 1st quarter. But in the 2nd quarter, St. Theresa made some defensive adjustments and started bringing the ball to the hole with authority. By half time, the Saints trailed by only 2 at 21 - 19. In the second half, St. Theresa took the lead with an 11 point effort in the 3rd quarter and finished with a five point victory. Bri Betz-White came up big for the Saints with 19 points, 11 from the foul line.

With this win, St. Theresa closes out the 2009 - 2010 Varsity season at 22 & 11.

8th Graders: The coaching staff has asked the 8th grade players to return to practice on Tuesday, March 23rd, to help prepare the Rising Stars squad for their tournament opener. This will also be the night for uniform, pinnie, and basketball collection. If your daughter is unable to scrimmage with us that evening, we still need the equipment to be returned that night. Your cooperation in this is appreciated.

Bracket Now Available: Make your plans now to follow our Rising Stars as they begin to work their way through this season's single elimination tournament. We open on Thursday, March 25th, with the winner of the OMPH/St. Marg. Mary game. The bracket is posted on our "Tournaments" page.
